Amazing Comeback and Timberwolves Win over The Rockets
This game was very interesting for me so I put some money on the Timberwolves, since on Christmas Day the Timberwolves had a great win against one of the best teams in the West as the Mavericks, so I thought that Minnesota could make a great game against Houston. In the first quarter the duel would start very close, the teams were studying each other but each one attacking with their best scorers, Alperen Şengün who is currently one of the NBA's fastest growing power forwards was unstoppable in the paint, not even one of the best defensive players in the league like Rudy Gobert could stop him, so he was a constant threat in the paint. On the Timberwolves side Julius Randle was having a good offense as well as Donte DiVincenzo but he was still seeing Minnesota playing at half speed as their main star Anthony Edwards was not waking up. The game continued slightly close but with advantage for the Houston Rockets who were dominating the paint with center Şengün as I mentioned in one of the previous paragraphs. In the last quarter at the beginning, even though the game was not that far away for the Timberwolves I still thought they needed a reaction and I thought at that moment that if they did not wake up, the Rockets would win without problems the duel. But Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards started to wake up, first he was looking for penetrations to the basket that were effective, little by little he was calibrating, he started to bring his team closer and put them right into the game. But the play that opened the path to victory was a great shot from the perimeter over the mark, this play made the Timberwolves go up on the scoreboard, it was the hinge play and key for Minnesota to take the victory rowing from behind, in a game that was dominated by the Rockets almost all the game with a certain advantage. This type of duels when a team has this kind of reaction, especially when its star player wakes up in a key moment, are the kind of games that become extremely emotional for those of us who love basketball and even more when it adds up in the betting. I hope you have enjoyed this sports story and I think it will be the post to say goodbye to the year, unless before the new year there is a game that I visualize that surpasses this duel that I have told you, I hope you all enjoy your health and can enjoy with your loved ones. LOS ANGELES - LeBron James scored 25 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and dished out 12 assists for his 99th career triple-double and led the Los Angeles Lakers to a 137-121 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Montrezl Harrell finished with 25 points for the reigning NBA champion, who chained his third consecutive victory on the court. Dennis Schröder had 16 points and seven assists, while Kyle Kuzma and Talen Horton-Tucker each had 16 points and shone in the second half as the Lakers pulled away on the league's worst record for Minnesota. James had his fifth triple-double of the season midway through the fourth quarter. Only four players in NBA history have reached 100 triple-doubles, including Lakers assistant coach Jason Kidd (107). Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards each scored 29 points for the Timberwolves, who were coming off winning two of their last three games for the first time since December. Minnesota made 52% of its shots to the basket against one of the best defenses in the NBA, but allowed eight rival players to score at least eight points.
